Ashbury Heights I
San Francisco, California
The project involved the interior remodel of an existing flat and included the Kitchen, Bathroom and Laundry Room. The previous kitchen did not take advantage of the sweeping views of the city towards the East. The remodel includes a large frameless window that lands directly onto the counter, dematerializing the wall and opening the room up to the view and light. The same counter transforms to become a built-in banquet; requested by the owners as a place for light meals or to plug in a laptop. The new Laundry Room sits out of sight when not used, behind a large pocketing door.
